Ep. 321 Trapping For Predator Control with Peter Dalton

Trapping might seem like a lost art and to many it is. As far as most of us are concerned trapping died out with the fur market but it might be making a comeback with a new goal in mind, predator management. The height of the fur trade coincided with some of the best bird hunting we’ve seen in decades and that was in part due to the fact that small predators like racoons were being trapped heavily for their fur and that kept them out of the nest. In today's modern hunting era the goal has shifted a bit and the quarry remains the same.
